Mother Hen
Hi! My name is Barbara and I am 'Mother Hen'! It's a little (or a lot) scary doing the "BLOG" with my daughters as they are so talented in this area. I'm just a preschooler with this stuff. I'd like to say they they got it all from me, but that would be such a wild exaggeration! It's fun to watch them and learn. I love being retired, but need to have all the time I though I was going to have!! I love to sew (especially with my new Bernina) and have a lot of fun sewing for my grandchildren. This is a second marriage for me and between us we have nine children and 21 grandchildren. I love to read, sing, play the piano (even though I'm terrible), travel, and visit children and grandchildren. I use to love to dance, and still do, but can't seem to lose the wight I have now to be able to dance, exercise and just walk the way I'd like to. We do a a drink call a "Texas Twister Drink" that has fresh squeezed oranges, lemons, limes, with a cherry in "Texas Sweet Water"....that's the family's secret recipe. We go to fairs in most of the western states and sell our drink. Other than the two week trip to Alaska we have a fair almost every weekend until sometime in October. All we do is GO, GO, GO!!! That is why my house gets looking like that cupboard!! Hopefully I can keep up the blog even though I am traveling around a lot. Thanks for being our friends and following the blog!

Hello There! I'm Jacki . I have been married to my husband for almost 12 years. We have three rowdy boys 11,9 and 6. My outlet is crafting. I love getting together with friends and family to either scrapbook or make a craft. I've always wanted to make items for my home, but never had the time or energy. Since my boys are getting older I now have the time and less fear of something getting broken. I love the feeling I get when I make something cute and others like it as well. Hi! I'm Juli! I live in California, and have been married to my awesome husband for 8 years. We have 3 kids, ages 5, 3, and 1. They definitely keep me busy, but in my free time I love to craft!! My original love is scrap booking. Jacki got me started scrap booking back when I first got married, and we still get together as often as we can to continue doing it! I love decorating and organizing my home. I'm not very original when it comes to decorating, so I tend to get most of my ideas from other blogs. Occasionally I do a little painting and sewing, but I haven't quite mastered these skills yet! I always get halfway through a sewing project and wonder if it would have been easier just to buy the darn thing!
Whether I'm good at it or not, doing crafts is my outlet to keep me sane!!

Hey I am Jess the baby of the family. I have been making cards for about 3 years now and love it. I totally hate cleaning my house and would much rather make cards. My husband does not support my habit for just this reason, but oh well it makes me happy!!! I live in a tiny, tiny town that doesn't have a store so I love to just throw together a quick card and off I go. I get such satisfaction out of it. I have 3 little boys that also keep me busy so any ME time I can get I take. Hope you enjoy!!!

Heather here and I am the one that married into this group. My husband is these lovely chick-a-dees brother. I LOVE to craft and luckily still find the time do so with being a maid, being a chauffeur, a chef, a referee for my 3 kids (ages 6, 3, & 6 months). I took up quilting when I was pregnant with my 3 year old and have been quilting ever since. I like to do other crafts as well but my LOVE is for QUILTING. I am not the best at it but I am still learning and growing. Hopefully someday I will be REALLY REALLY good at it but for now I will just keep practicing and have fun sewing!!!
